Water resistant jewellery

Made from stainless steel

Edblad jewellery made from stainless steel is water-resistant, so you can work out, sweat, shower and swim without worrying about the colour fading or the surface starting to tarnish. Here you can read more about our water-resistant jewellery, the stainless steel and gold plating we use, and find answers to the most common questions.

Can I shower and swim with my jewellery?

Yes. Edblad stainless steel jewellery, both silver-coloured and gold-coloured, is water-resistant and will not lose its colour. However, we recommend drying your jewellery after contact with water.

Will the colour and shine last?

Yes. You can shower and swim in both pools and the sea with our stainless steel jewellery, including the gold-plated pieces. To help maintain their shine, we recommend drying your jewellery afterwards – especially after contact with chlorinated water.

Are all Edblad pieces water-resistant?

No. Silver is more sensitive to water and wear. Although Edblad jewellery in those materials have a protective plating of rhodium or 14k gold, they are still more prone to tarnishing than our stainless steel jewellery. The plating forms a protective layer that delays natural oxidation, which can otherwise darken the metal over time.

Jewellery with larger stones or pearls, natural stones, or enamel can also be sensitive to water and should not be worn while exercising, showering or swimming. We therefore recommend avoiding water exposure with Edblad jewellery in sterling silver, enamel, natural stones, or larger pearls and stones.

All Edblad jewellery in stainless steel is water resistant, and you can work out, sweat, shower and swim with your jewellery without worrying about the colour fading.
