In a time when human rights are under threat in many parts of the world, our partnership with the Swedish organisation Regnbågsfonden, The Rainbow Foundation, feels more important than ever. It is one of Edblads’ most meaningful and proud collaborations — something we hold very close to our hearts. For over six years, we have jointly supported the Rainbow Foundation’s vital work in assisting LGBTQI+ individuals in countries where they face discrimination, persecution, and violence.
As part of our long-term commitment, we design a new Rainbow collection each year to benefit the Rainbow Foundation. 10% of all sales go directly to the foundation from June 1st until September 30th.

The 2026 collection focuses on everyday jewellery in all the colours of the rainbow, sleek hoops and a matching ring made to be worn every day. These were the Rainbow pieces that started it all, and after all the love they received, the favourites are now back.

What Does The Rainbow Foundation Do?
The Rainbow Foundation was founded in 2014. Since its inception, its purpose has been to provide financial support to competent organisations and projects in countries where LGBTQ+ individuals face discrimination, persecution, and violence. The Rainbow Foundation also engages in advocacy projects in collaboration with other organisations. To support their work, we sell the Rainbow series in aid of The Rainbow Foundation, donating 10% of the sales until the end of September.
EDBLAD AND PRIDE
We are proud to take part in Stockholm Pride again this year. On 1 August, we will once again walk together in the parade, for everyone’s right to love, live and be themselves, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

How Does Edblad Work with Charity?
Since Edblad was founded in 2006, we have been committed to supporting organisations and causes that matter to us through specially designed jewellery. We aim to use our platform to highlight issues that are important to us. In addition to The Rainbow Foundation, we have collaborated with the women's rights organisation Woman to Woman (Kvinna till Kvinna) for several years. What Do the Colours of the Rainbow Represent?
The rainbow flag is a powerful symbol that has been around since the late 1970s. It was created by Gilbert Baker, who refused to trademark the flag as he believed it was a symbol for the entire LGBTQ+ movement. The different colours reflect the diversity within the movement, and the colours have varied over the years. Initially, the flag had eight colours, but two were removed due to printing difficulties. Over time, colours have been added and removed, and the flag exists in several variations.
Edblad's Rainbow series reflects the most common colours: Red for life, Orange for healing, Yellow for the sun, Green for nature, Blue for harmony, and Purple for spirit and soul. In this year's collection, we have also designed a pair of earrings featuring the colours of the Progress Pride Flag.
In 2018, a new version of the flag was created, called the Progress Pride Flag, with additional colours consisting of black, brown, light blue, pink, and white. These colours highlight and include ethnic minorities, transgender people, non-binary individuals, and those affected by HIV.
