Fredrik Robertsson at Paris Fashion Week

Last year, the fashion icon and haute couture collector Fredrik Robertsson a spectacular design collaboration together with Edblad. He is a recurring guest at Paris Couture Fashion Week and this year he has once again worn jewellery from Edblad, and it is mainly lots of rings that are matched with luxurious and grand haute couture.

"Without my rings I feel naked"

Fredrik is known for his extravagant and eccentric style and he can be seen at the biggest fashion shows and events in the world's leading fashion cities.

You were recently at Paris Couture Fashion Week, what were your three favorite shows?

It was an amazing week and I have to say my favorite shows were Schiaparelli, Stéphane Rolland and Viktor & Rolf.

You have previously told us that rings are the most common thing in your jewelry wardrobe, how many rings are there approximately?

Oh, I don't even dare to count, but over 100, absolutely. Without my rings I feel naked.

Last year you did a design collaboration with Edblad, The Decadent Warrior, and now you have an exhibition at Liljevalchs with your most spectacular haute couture pieces running at Liljevalchs. What do you have coming up this year?

It has been truly fantastic to share my collection of haute couture at Liljevalchs. Right now I am actively working as creative director for Björn Axén with many fun shoots and collaborations to come. You have to keep an eye out as everything else is secret, but the exhibition may move on....

"There are no rules in my worldd"

In addition to Paris, Fredrik prefers to travel to Tokyo, Los Angeles and Venice for inspiration.

What do you think are the biggest jewellery trends this spring?

I don't like to talk about trends because I think you should find your own style, but I think we are getting better at daring to let our jewellery take its place. I don't think you need to be so afraid and anxious in your style. Scandinavian fashion is very minimalistic, and over-the-top statement jewellery goes with it.

What are your best styling tips to pull off an outfit?

I usually always think about which part of my look should take up space, and work around it. You have to start somewhere. If you love a coat, a pair of crazy shoes or a crazy wig - start there and then puzzle out a look where everything is connected. But there are no rules in my world either.

If you had to choose between wearing only black for the rest of your life or only color, what would you choose?

Black every day. Unfortunately.

Who is the latest discovered designer that inspires you?

There is a very talented guy called Reagen Varross based in London who creates amazingly tailored garments. I think he will be great.

And finally, beyond the rings you wore in Paris, which are your favorite pieces of jewelry from Edblad's spring collection?

I am very fond of the Amarillo Bangle with matching ring. You will also see me wearing the Ivy Maxi Necklace and Bracelet a lot and often.
